Our classroom session includes the following:

• The different classes of fire (A, B, C, D, K)
• Various types of extinguishers (including special hazard units) and how they relate to the classes of fire
• Various types of extinguishers (including special hazard units) and how they relate to the classes of fire
• The Fire Triangle
• PASS - Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep procedure for using an extinguisher
• Extinguisher maintenance

Our live fire training includes the following:

• A training in which each participant receives hands-on training operating an extinguisher, and controlling the fire extinguisher on a fire
• Live demonstration fires to show common pitfalls of mismatching an extinguisher to a particular fire, the effectiveness of using the right type of fire extinguisher for the fire and how different extinguishers compare on Class A fires.

The benefit of incorporating both phases of training into your safety plan is that Phase II is designed to be hands-on and very participatory for the attendees, assuring in the event of a fire, you will feel most confident that your employees will stay safe.
